Spending quality time in the serenity of the River Ganga fills the soul with energy. The city is an enlightening experience for all. You can also visit different temples and stay some days in Ashrams. Enjoying the local cuisines is worth it. Ganga Dip is very prominent which is fun and holy. Haridwar is surrounded by lush green mountains. After enjoying the day return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 2: Haridwar – Guptkashi
It’s time to travel to Guptkashi from Haridwar which is approximately 207 kilometers and takes 7 hours and 30 minutes. Spend an evening at leisure and stay overnight at the hotel in Guptkashi.
Day 3: Guptkashi – Kedarnath - Guptkashi
Your trip progresses to Kedarnath from Guptkashi and starts early morning. You need to report to the helipad to reach Kedarnath. This is a sacred temple and the holiest pilgrimage in the country. It is among the 12 jyotirlingas dedicated to lord Shiva. Kedarnath is on the Garhwal Himalayan Range in the district of Rudraprayag. This place is open from April to November, only for six months because of heavy snowfall in other months. From November to May, the deity is shifted to Ukhitmath and worshipped.
Kedarnath got its name from the name of Lord Shiva ‘Kedar’ who is known to be the destroyer and protector. It is believed that the journey provides salvation or Moksha. You can witness snow-capped mountains and the Mandakini River in front. Large numbers of devotees visit here every year because of its religious significance.
After visiting Kedarnath temple on your trip, drive back to Guptakashi and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Guptkashi – Chopta – Govind Ghat/Badrinath
Today you will proceed to Badrinath via Chopta. Delve into the beauty of Chopta which is also known as Mini Switzerland. The lush green forest and meadows attract tourists. This place is rich in flora and fauna. Proceed to Badrinath and seek blessings of God at the popular Badrinath temple. Stay overnight
Day 5: Badrinath – Rudraprayag
It’s time to visit Rudraprayag which is approximately 160kilometers from Badrinath. The journey completes in nearly 5 hours. This popular town is named after Lord Shiva’s Rudra avatar. The town is surrounded by pristine rivers, glaciers, and water streams. It is a famous stopover location when traveling to Kedarnath and Badrinath. There are many temples and you can witness the mesmerizing beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas. Stay overnight.
Day 6: Rudraprayag – Haridwar
Drive 280 kilometers for approximately 9 hours and reach Haridwar. Spend an evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Haridwar.
Day 7: Depart Delhi
You will be transferred to the Delhi railway station/ airport from Haridwar this morning. Here this beautiful and memorable journey ends.
